Frequently asked questions
What PlayMind does, what it doesn't do, and where the company is today.
How can prediction markets detect loss chasing?
Loss chasing shows up in the order of an account's activity: a losing resolution followed quickly by a new, larger position, often with a fresh deposit in between. The way to catch it is to compare each account against its own history instead of a fixed rule, so a change in behavior stands out. PlayMind is building scoring that reads these patterns from session events (trades, deposits, withdrawals and resolutions) and flags them to the exchange's own teams.
What is responsible trading on prediction markets?
Responsible trading means an exchange watches for signs that a trader's behavior is turning risky, and its own teams step in early, before it shows up as a large loss, a complaint, or a closed account. It applies to all retail traders, not just the biggest accounts. It protects the trader and helps keep traders in the market for the long run.
What behavioral signals does PlayMind look for?
PlayMind is designed to read five signals: position sizes escalating, losses chased, deposits refueling, withdrawals accelerating, and gaps between sessions widening. It combines them into a 0 to 100 stability score and returns the top three drivers behind it, so the exchange's team can see why an account was flagged.
How is PlayMind different from market-integrity or insider-trading surveillance?
Market-integrity and insider-trading surveillance protect the market. They look for manipulation, wash trading, or trading on non-public information. PlayMind looks at the trader: whether an individual account's own behavior is changing in ways that point to harm, like loss chasing. It is built to sit beside an exchange's existing surveillance, CRM and risk tools, not to replace them.
Does PlayMind contact traders or block trades?
No. PlayMind never contacts traders, never blocks or places trades, and never builds marketing lists. It hands a behavioral signal to the exchange's risk, compliance and account management teams, and the exchange decides what, if anything, to do.
Is PlayMind live?
Not yet. PlayMind Labs is pre-seed and pre-revenue. We are building the product and looking for our first exchange pilot partner. There are no live exchange integrations, no customers, and no published performance figures.
What data does PlayMind need from an exchange?
Session events (trades, deposits, withdrawals and resolutions) identified by tokenized account IDs only. No names, contact details, payment data or device identifiers. Each exchange's accounts are scored on that exchange's own data, and data is never combined across exchanges.
How would a pilot work?
A pilot starts with a historical lookback on 6 to 12 months of account data from a defined slice of the exchange's book. Around day 30 we walk through a signal report: who would have been flagged, how early, and why. From day 30 to 90, current accounts are scored on a live feed, with a held-out comparison group so the exchange can measure the difference itself.
